Dr. Teresa Ethridge, a native Louisianan, born January 6, 1962. I arrived in the State of California in 1963 to care of my great grandparents Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Bell Jr., now deceased. Unfortunately, transitioning from small town Downsville, Louisiana to metropolis Los Angeles came with its pitfalls. By the age of 16, I had been exposed to the perils of city life and observed decadence that no child should have been exposed to. Victimized by incest, physical abuse, and Rape I experienced sexual abuse at age sixteen by immoral family members.
These painful traumatic experiences took me on an inevitable journey of dysfunctional behavior. By age nineteen, my distorted lifestyle concluded an era that began with self-destruction. Yet while inside the clutches of a Psychological confinement, I defied all odds related to survival and gain my personal freedom.
Against those odds, I studied and earned three Associate Degrees in the field of Ministry, Paralegal, and Theology. My continued academic quest resulted in earning a Bachelor’s of Science in Christian Education, Bachelor's of Science Psychology, addictions specialist, Master’s Degree in Christian Education, Master's Degree in MFT/LPCC, and finally dual Doctorates in Theology, and Ministry, and a Ph.D. Currently , and finally I am embarking upon a Registered Addiction Specialist II with clinical Supervision at Breining Institute. In addition to these accomplishments, I was given the opportunity to pursue my career in Mental Health, and through that pursuit, I became a Certified and credentialed Youth Mental Health First Aid Instructor, MFT/LPCC Intern, and Human Rights Consultant.
I am a woman of Christian principles, and nothing in life is more important than my covenant relationship with Jesus Christ, my Lord and Savior as well as the relationships with my children. Having entered the lion’s den and experienced firsthand the saving grace of Jesus Christ, I am fully persuaded of the power of GOD’S Word. Licensed ordained minister, 2004 and licensed Chaplain, 2010, Founder and CEO of “Humanity Center4Change Corporation, and an Author. Ministers as an educator, motivational speaker, teacher, evangelist, counselor, preacher, and facilitator of various workshops. My past and present both offer the experience, humility and skills to perform at the highest level of Management, leadership and directing others to pursue the premise of which our common goal is to make a difference in the lives of our community, one person at a time.
